About Me

I am a psychotherapist based in Cambridge. I offer in-person and online therapy to individuals, couples, families, chosen families, and groups. My approach is strengths-focused, creative, compassionate and collaborative. I aim to meet you wherever you are in your lives in a way that connects for you, working with you to foster hope and negotiate obstacles to connection whatever you may be facing. The meaning of interactions within and across systems you are involved in, such as family, school, community and work, will be considered throughout.

Bringing my creative skills and flexibility, I hope to open space in which to reflect on your experience in your important relationships, offering possibilities and choices for how this might look different. I am committed to justice-doing in my therapeutic practice, considering the impact of wider social and political power structures on our everyday lives.

From a starting point of shared humanity, I commit to showing up to build a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship as a foundation from which to explore any challenges you may wish to bring to therapy.

"I appreciated the warm, collaborative therapeutic relationship Joe built with the family. This enabled us to be open with him about all our concerns, which consequently opened up the opportunity to more fully understand and address these concerns, and make room to discuss our hopes for the future."

"Joe's thinking and knowledge provided a wealth of food for thought in all stages of working with him. He works in a sensitive and respectful manner, bringing new perspectives into consideration about relationship and family dynamics that we found inspiring.
